Spread Some Love
It is more important now than ever that we, as a business, maintain the high standards that we have in place. At our dojo, we believe in being community minded. We believe in supporting other local businesses. We believe in a zero tolerance for bullying and being unkind. We believe in inclusion and diversity.
This is why we want to take a moment to ensure our families and any new student or family that joins our dojo now, understands that we WILL continue to adhere to those standards even if our dojo is not open.
We have seen multiple posts across social media where community members and business owners are spending time shaming others. You will never see this from us at Shodan Academy. We implore everyone to use this time to seek ways to support each other, be kind, and use discretion. Please do not judge your neighbor for having cars in the drive. You do not know why they are there. Please do not judge those out walking with a group. You do not know how many children they might have. Please do not judge someone for “looking ill” and going to the store to get medication. You do not know if they are ill or what they might be dealing with regarding their own health. Placing blame and judgment on others never helped anyone or any situation. And, others will see your character in doing so.
The only thing anyone can control is how they behave and how they react to the world around them. It is your choice, now and always, to do what is best for you and your family. This is definitely not the time to spread hate and treat others with disdain, regardless of who it is. Let’s lift each other up and spread some LOVE right now!
